"I want to explore human behaviour.
To do that, I have to experience first hand what people go through."

Rick Jens is a cultural researcher with a background in journalism and military service. His work takes him from indigenous tribes to active frontlines — not to document spectacle, but to understand how humans endure, adapt, and create meaning with the odds against them.

Becoming a Nomad
Rick Jens
Almost
finished
As life began to feel without meaning, despite having a seemingly perfect life, Rick went on a three-month solo expedition to find out what drives him. Hoping to come back a better person. Living as a nomad in one of the roughest and less densely populated countries in the world, Rick went on a life-changing adventure hoping to answer that one question: What do I stand for?
Intrigued by medical volunteers working in war zones, Rick became a medical volunteer himself. Traveling to Ukraine without a set plan, he managed to finish a combat medic course and find work on an ambulance. In a war where medical personnel and facilities are deliberately attacked, life would surely be uncertain. His upcoming film Stuck Between War and Conviction follows this journey.
